Gerry,
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your help. May the fruits of your labor and help come back to you bountifully. The Reporting Services server instance: is not showing my MSSQLServer. Do you know why this is the case; actually it's not giving me any option.
Thanks
Charles
Thanks Charles.
DeleteRemember you have to add the Reporting Point role to the SQL site system (not the Primary Site Server).
Have you heard or installed 2012 R2 with the Primary and CAS in a SQL Cluster getting reporting point working?
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS insist of local SQL to avoid this kind of problem.
Deletesoftware metering reports can't seem in sccm 2012 r2
ReplyDeleteI don't understand Amir.
DeleteHi Gerry,
ReplyDeleteWhn i enable the reporting point, the instance is blank. i installed SRS, configured it and still the same prbm. any help is appreciated.
You haven't given enough information Surya. Is this local or remote SQL? Is your installation account local administrator of the SQL server and sysadmin role in SQL?
DeleteHi Gerry,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the response. Its a remote SQL. Yes, the install account is a sys admin in SQL and is a local admin of the SQL.
I am unable to enable the reporting point in my primary site server, however the same is possible when i try to create reporting point in sql server. Does this make sense?
ReplyDeleteHi Gerry, Yes it is a remote SQL on a CLSUTER and the account is provided sysadmin role in SQL
ReplyDeleteSSRS is not cluster aware. It must be configured as a scale-out solution. Have you done this? You can find good information about this here:

Also your problem could be that your virtual directories have not been created in IIS. Have a look

Hi Gerry,
ReplyDeleteThe issue is resolved. Missed the simplest of things. my SMS_executive service was in stopped state. Do not how or why it was stopped. However once that is started, all the reports are now in my console.
Thanks for all your help.
Glad you sorted it out Surya
