What is Windows Intune?
Windows Intune delivers a unified PC and mobile device
management solution for the enterprise which enables IT to provide users with access to the corporate resources they need on
the devices they choose. Applications can be delivered to users’ devices in a way that is optimized for each device. IT can
manage both corporate and personally-owned devices with a unified infrastructure, making it easier for administrators to
identify and enforce compliance.

Basically Windows Intune is an online subscription service with an easy-to-use web-based console that allows you to manage your client estate over the Internet.
A recent customer was looking for a way of managing an
estate of Windows 8 Enterprise tablet devices. Intune proved to be a perfect fit for this. After enrolling the devices, IT were able to manage and report on
software updates and endpoint protection. They were also able to collect inventory
and deploy corporate software to the devices.
I have created a step by step guide as follows. Please follow the links to browse the other sections. This guide
was created using a trial Intune account and a test environment.
Part 9: Reporting
Part 10: Uninstall Intune Client
Note that you can integrate Intune with Config Mgr 2012 SP1 for the Unified Management experience
